Silence for lost loggers on Monday

Port Clements council members is asking local logging companies to observe two minutes of silence on Monday, April 28, British Columbia's Day of Mourning to remember workers who have lost their lives on the job.Several council members said the Day of Mourning will be particularly important this year, as everyone in Port has been affected by the death last year of logger Pat Quinn.Mayor Wally Cheer said he is working on a memorial for workers, which should be moving ahead by the end of the year.
