An inch of snow, followed by rain, at the north end of the islands on Wednesday Feb. 2 made the roads very slippery that evening, said Cpl. Isaacs of the Masset RCMP.
Police know of one car that went off the road due to the treacherous conditions. It happened near the Watun River, about seven kilometres south of Masset. The driver was unharmed and the car undamaged, said Cpl. Isaacs.
