Storm violent, but no one was injured

It was one of the biggest storms to hit the islands in years, it did about $250,000 damage to the highway and it destroyed one house in Queen Charlotte and rendered unliveable another in Tlell. But mercifully, no one was injured in the Christmas Eve blast that won't be forgotten for years. See the Observer Thursday for more details. And thanks to Dutes Dutheil, and Janet Gifford-Brown of Tlell, and Alexander MacDonald of Queen Charlotte for the photos. More are viewable at www.qcislands.net/michaelb/
