Storm was violent, but no one was hurt

It was one of the biggest storms to hit the islands in years, it did about $250,000 damage to the highway and it destoyed one house in Queen Charlotte and rendered another in Tlell unliveable. But mercifully, no one was injured in the Christmas Eve blast that won't be forgotten for several years. See the Observer Tursday for more details. And thanks to Dutes Dutheil, Janet Gifford-Brown of Tlell and Alexander MacDonald of Queen Charlotte for the photos. More are viewable at www.qcislands.net/michaelb/
