Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson receives honour Friday

Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) is going to broadcast the Aboriginal People's Choice Music Awards Thursday and Friday (Nov. 6 and 7). For two months, people across the country voted for their favourite aboriginal artists. The winners are being announced Thursday, with APTN First Night, the pre-awards gala. The evening will feature performances from up and coming Aboriginal entertainers and emerging artists. A live broadcast will be available on-line at www.aptn.ca at7 pm CT.The main event takes place Friday, Nov. 7. The APCMA's will be hosted by Andrea Menard, star of APTN's hit show Rabbit Fall and Lorne Cardinal of Corner Gas fame and features some of the top Aboriginal groups in the country. Islander Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson will be honoured during the ceremony, receiving a special award as Keeper of Traditions in Aboriginal Music.For more information please see the APTN website at http://www.aptn.ca/manitoahbee/
