The polls are closed and the count is on. And the question is 'will Bill Belsey win a second term for the Liberals or will the North Coast electoral district return to its more traditional NDP path by electing Gary Coons'?
Polls closed at 8 pm, and the race, in our opinion, is too close to call, particularly because Mr. Belsey won four years ago by only 830 votes, and that was in a year when the NDP was virtually wiped out by voters.
Four years later, some NDP support has returned, and some dissatisfaction with the Liberals has set in, but will it be enough to unseat Mr. Belsey?
