Three candidates to visit before June 28 vote

Candidates for the three main federal parties will be on the islands before voting day.
Liberal Miles Richardson will be in Masset on Friday, at the Driftwood Lounge, between 10 and 11 am; then in Port at 1 pm and in Skidegate between 4 and 6 pm, to talk to islanders and answer questions.
Conservative MP Andy Burton will spend Monday here, but his schedule is not firmed up as we write this Wednesday. Check back Friday evening for more details.
And the NDP's Nathan Cullen arrives on the islands June 23 (next Wednesday), although his itinerary is not yet firmed up either.
Advance polls open Friday June 18 for three days. See the Observer for details where you can vote if you will be off island June 28.
