Tlell Fall Fair upcoming

Submitted by Sandra Price for the Fall Fair Committee. Cash and gifts will be awarded as prizes in six categories in the August 3 Tlell Fall Fair.
The Veggie Sculpture is new this year. You don't have to grow the vegetables yourself, but you can use only vegetables in your creation. A winner will be chosen by popular vote in each of three divisions: adult, youth (ages 13-18), and children (through age 12). Vegetable-themed prizes will be given.
The Craft Challenge asks entrants, "What can you do with a gumboot?" No restrictions apply and fair-goers will select the $100 winner.
A $100 prize will be awarded for best Costume following this year's theme of "The River Runs Through." This will be chosen by a panel of judges.
Best floral arrangement (crystal vase prize), Pullet-zer Prize ($100 and a chicken waterer) and Best Decorated Booth (100) will be chosen by popular vote.
Gate prizes will be drawn throughout the day.
Booth and table space is still available for individuals and groups. Do you make bread or curry or hamburgers? Beaded jewellery or bentwood boxes? Are you seeking support for special projects or long-term concerns? The Fall Fair is a good opportunity to make money and to get your message out. For information Call Sirita at 557-4468 (W) or 557-4304 (H).
Catalogs listings the entry categories will be out in early July. All entries are due by 6 pm, Saturday, August 2, the day before the fair.
