Two candidates for chief councillor in Old Massett

Two people are running to be the next chief councillor of Old Massett, and seven people are seeking positions on council. The two candidates for chief councillor are Ken Rea and Judy Williams. The current chief councillor, John T. Jones, is running for a councillor position this time around. The other councillor candidates are Kevin Brown, Vince Collison, Myrna Jacobson, Alfred Setso Sr., David Smith and Harold Yeltatzie. Four councillors will be elected. The advance poll will be held this coming Monday, Nov. 28, and the regular poll will be held a week later, on Dec. 5. Both polling stations will take place at the Old Massett Community Hall from 10 am until 8 pm. Voters must be registered with the Old Massett Village Council and at least 18 years old as of Nov. 28.
