"We are convinced that Haida Gwaii in one of the world's greatest places We are thrilled Outside thought so too," said Kevin Smith president of Maple Leaf Adventures.The Misty Isles Economic Developement Society works closely with island tourism businesses and Northern BC Tourism to increase destination awareness for Haida Gwaii, said Heather Adel, MIEDS's economic development officer, so she was pleased by the award. "Haida Gwaii being named Best Islands in Outside magazine draws attention to our amazing tourism products and services and helps to promote this first class destination worldwide," she said.MThe runner up for the title was the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
