The polls are closed. It's just after 8 pm and the polls have been closed for a few minutes, Jeff King writes.
At this point, we have no information on the voter turnout or who won or lost, but we do know the counting has started, and we do know that we will soon be finding out what the voters wanted.
In the Observer office in Queen Charlotte, Jeff King is anxiously waiting by the fax machine and computer for word of who's ahead; in Tlell, Alex Rinfret is poised to call the winners and the losers to see how they are feeling about the results.
