Warren Theodore Wesley was the winner the byelection for school district trustee held Saturday in Old Massett.Mr. Wesley polled 18 votes. Kenneth Edgars received the support of 14 voters and Tammy Annette Jones received 13 votes.The byelection was necessary when the previous trustee failed to attend enough board meetings to keep her post.These preliminary results are based on the ballot accounts prepared at each voting place and are subject to determination of official election results by the Chief Election Officer.Official, final results are expected to be printed in The Observer on Thursday.
