In loving memory ~

Gail Marilyn Salter passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born and brought up in Montreal, Gail had a highly successful career at Air Canada at the executive level. She moved to Armstrong with her family in 1989, where her particular interests became her work with dear friends Dawn Jamieson and Jessie Anne Gamble at the Heritage Society and The Armstrong Museum and Art Gallery.

Gail was named Armstrong Citizen of the Year for 2023 in acknowledgement of her many years of dedicated service to the community.

Gail was predeceased by her parents, Charles Donald Salter and Amy Fielding Salter and her dear partner, Glen Stone.

She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in law , Ross and Donna Laurie, her adored grandchildren , Lee and Jasmine Laurie, her beloved nephew, Russell Laurie, and her sisters Donna-Lee (Brian Larocque)and Amy-Jo Salter (Michael Johnston, who has been endlessly available for loving and practical support), her nieces Tracy-Lee Bourque (Ray),Kimberly Gail Larocque (Terry Mitchell )and Tara-Jo Larocque (Mike Fochuk), and eight loving and much loved great nieces and nephews.

Gail's lifelong friend, Ann Rochefort from Montreal was here throughout Gail's journey with constant and unwavering love and support.

Special and heartfelt thanks to Doris Faris and Amanda Logan for their exceptional caring.

Gail had a warm smile, an infectious laugh, the kindest of hearts and a love of the gracious and the beautiful in life.

She will always be in our hearts.
