January 22, 1950 – August 31, 2016.
Elizabeth was born in Hull, Quebec and lived for the past 30 years in Haida Gwaii, after some years in Southern BC. Elizabeth was predeceased by her father, Aimé St. Pierre and was followed by her mother, Marcelle Labelle, who passed on September 13. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Jones, son Marco Israel, and stepson Christopher (Sammy) Jones. Elizabeth married Christopher Jones in 1986 and they lived in Sandspit for 13 years where Chris worked as an electronics technician for the Canadian Coast Guard. Elizabeth and Chris lived in Skidegate after they chose to stay on the islands, rather than transfer in 1998 under a Federal Government restructuring and employee reduction plan. Thanks to the emergency medical staff , the re department, Dr. Pacholuk, the doctors, the nurses and staff of Queen Charlotte and Vancouver General Hospitals for their support. Friends are welcome to attend a service that will be held at the Skidegate United Church on Saturday September 24 at 2:00 pm.
